"Boho Charm"

While much of the West Village has been so gentrified that the neighborhood has come to resemble the Upper East Side much more than it does its downtown neighbors, Carmine Street still maintains some of its old-school - and Old World - charm. From record stores to funky bookshops, Carmine Street, despite its relatively small size, seems to have it all. Check out the House of Oldies, a bona fide record store focusing on 50's and 60's soul, R&B, and bluegrass, located between Bedford and Bleecker Streets. Or get your left-wing conspiracy-nut on at the humorously named Unoppressive Not-Imperialist Bargain Books, a political and activist bookstore. Or think about redecorating at 20's themed antique shop The Lively Set, peopled by celebrities as well as mere mortals looking to add a sconce or two to the bathroom. Dining options in this district are plentiful; check out popular Market Table, or head to lesser-known but still worthwhile venues like Mas Farmhouse and the laid-back Blue Ribbon Bakery and Cafe.

"The Pizza."

I'm going to ditto the guy who mentioned pizza on this block. That's the only reason I end up on it. It's kind of an odd street, and naturally through getting to work or school you're less likely to end up on it than a lot of other streets - but it's worth patronizing some businesses here, a little less cheezy than those on Bleecker around the corner. Nice bike lane too!

"Great place to eat pizza"

I know it sounds funny but one of the important things we wanted to do in New York was try all the famous New York food in its original venues. Its not as if we had never eaten pizza before but having pizza in Greenwich just seemed so much cooler than eating the same kind of pizza at home. We signed up for one of the walking food tours in Greenwich and the highlight for us was this stop. A simple mushroom pizza shouldn’t be the cause for celebration but when it tastes so good and is the authentic real deal, you just cant help feeling great about stopping here!

"Carmine Street - A sketch"

Carmine St is a short street in the Greenwich Village. It runs from Bleecker St to 7th Ave South. As many of the streets in this area, Carmine St is packed with restaurants and tourist shops. However, it also offers some places for a more ‘local’ crowd like, for example, Do Hwa. It is a nice Korean restaurant that can be a good alternative if one does not want to travel to midtown to have Korean food.
If one does not mind some noise then Carmine St is a good place where to live.

"A true Hidden Treasure with a Strong Community Feel"

Carmine Street is one of the hidden gems of Manhattan. The street is located in West Greenwich Village sandwiched between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. It has an eclectic feel to it and offers up some great locations for music lovers. Carmine Street Guitars houses both new and used, custom-crafted Kelly guitars. It also stocks lots of accessories and can be a cool place to browse. The restaurant scene on the street is unbelievable and a great slice of pizza can be found at Famous Joe's Pizza. Grey Dog is a popular coffee stop. You can also find some really strange little shops, Wisdom of Tibet, a spiritual store, is one of them.
