"Strange Street - Separates in Three Places"

E. 140th St., is very weird. It goes from Locust Ave to 3rd Ave. The problem is that many sections of the street split. One section of E. 140th St., that connects to Locust Avenue, ends at the Bruckner Expressway. Then E. 140th St., begins again at the Bruckner and ends at St. Annis Ave. The next section starts at Brook Avenue and goes one block to Willis Avenue. The last section begins at 3rd Ave and goes to Alexander Ave. That is it.

Most of the area is made up of apartments. There are packs of commercial buildings and stores, as well as schools, depending on what patch of E. 140th Street you travel on.
Pros
  • A mixed bag
  • plenty of stores
  • Plenty of schools
Cons
  • Too many kids around during summer
  • Too many people at times
  • Can be unsafe at times
