Does East Fishkill typically have any pest problems?

Mice, insects, anything like that?

I wouldn't say there's an excess of pests in East Fishkill. It's a fairly clean area, and while it's fairly 'country living' you won't be dealing with pests constantly. There's the occasional mice and other wildlife, but that's pretty common for this type of area.

Only the tourists (sorry, couldn't resist). East Fishkill has no more than any rural/suburban area. Ants, carpenter ants, moths, mice… the usual. Those moving from the city should know that if you use mouse or rat poison, the rodents will then run outside and poison all the wildlife (birds of prey, foxes, etc.) who may eat them. All the local pest control companies lie about how lethal their products are - don't believe them. Use snap traps, electric traps, or Haveaheart traps to combat rodents, if you have a problem. I have friends who have lived in Fishkill for years, and they have never seen a mouse.
