Entertainment at home on the rise as Potluck dinners make a comeback in NYC

It seems pot luck dinners are gaining favor once again in NYC as folk rather entertain at home ( yes in small NYC apartments) than elbow their way into hot restaurants.

Have any of you hosted a potluck at your apartment? I think its a pretty cool idea..

I attended a potluck Thanksgiving of sorts last night; my host provided the main course and dessert, but I brought along some butternut squash soup! It was loads of fun; I enjoy potluck dinners.

I haven't been to a potluck dinner in a while. The last one I went to turned out to be so full of people in such a tiny place that I could not stay. I excused myself and left, but not till I had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.

I went to one recently and it was very awesome; I can see why potlucks are making a comeback.

@BroadwayBk, ajadedidealist haven't been to one in a while but they sure sound like a lot of fun. Entertaining in a NYC apartment can be stressful when you have to do it all outsourcing a part of menu can be extremely useful. Need to get on that bandwagon soon.
