Heat at the US open

I love taking in a match or two at the US open which is hosted every year at Flushing Meadows in Queens. I love the party-like atmosphere that prevails and the chance to catch sight of some of the world's best players. However this year more than the matches a crowd incident which features a brawl in the stands is making much news.

Oh my! This is a time I'm glad I don't watch sports. Although as a sometime-resident of the UK sports violence doesn't really shock me anymore. Do you guys watch sports? Or get invested in them? Afraid I've never been one for viewing or playing - I'm just too lazy!

@ajadedidealist The US open is all I have ever done, have never been to the Yankee stadium or taken in a Knicks game. I think most folks in NYC are into sports like baseball and basketball as they follow the exploits of the local teams but I have still to get into them.
