The state goes after Bagels

Cash strapped Albany is now going after Bagels and forcing store owners to impose an obscure tax on bagels that are sliced, toasted or otherwise prepared in the stores.

I usually have my Bagels toasted with some tofu cream cheese at the H&H Midtown Bagel store but luckily I dont eat a bagel everyday to be affected much. Do any of you? I can't believe how sneaky Albany is becoming instead of stemming the mismanagement they just think they can impose random taxes and collect. A real sorry state of affairs isn't it?

On what grounds do you tax a bagel? This is ridiculous. Let's go throw some tea in the harbor!
