those TVs in taxis...

...love 'em or hate 'em? Personally, I can't stand them. Granted, it's convenient to be able to pay for a cab via credit card - if far too tempting on those occasions where I'm out of cash and common sense and budget would have me take the subway - but that said the noise and insipid programming are IMO obnoxious. Of course, I can always mute/turn it off, but there's always that moment of frustration when the noise starts up before I can turn it off...

I like your comments about TV's in taxis. You wrote a lot of great thinks about them. You may want to read the posts under this topic as many others had commented about it before. The worst is the commercials for dreadful late night/reality TV you wouldn't watch if they paid you!
And sorry for double posting - I'll make sure to double-check in the future! I just got carried away after the thread on taxi-tipping.
