"Nothing Could Be Finer.."

than to be in Carolina..Anthony Grove Church Road is an awesome street. I definitely wouldn't mind living here and if I ever had kids I would love to live there. It's not the quietest road because there is a large housing manufacturer located on the street but it's just so homey. It just really makes you appreciated NC. There is a church on the corner...and if you go right up the street there is a homemade ice cream parlor. It's also located about one minute from a brand-new Super Wal-Mart. The only downside would definitely be the noise..there is a train track nearby and every once in a while (not sure where this comes from) you can get a whiff of cow manure. Kind of makes you thankful to be in the country...at least it smells better than the city sewer.

"Cars, Farms, and Trash"

All kidding aside there are some pretty cool houses on this road. And you're only about 5-7 minutes from the local shopping centers and downtown Lincolnton. The only problem is the city dump is located on this road. And so for a half a mile or so you can smell the stench. Not the greatest thing to smell every morning when you get out of bed or have friends over. There is some traffic because the dump is right there but despite all the traffic it's a pretty quiet road.

"Sounds pretty glitzy..."

but it's not. Lake Street used to be somewhat of a nice street. But lately it has become more run down and more populated. Besides not being close to any store or gas stations I just find it to be a boring street. Quiet is good but it's just a little too quiet. Maybe good for elderly people if they would clean up the area a little bit. If you're thinking about moving here think twice. Especially if you have kids. There's just nothing going on and if this was the only street that you came too if you came to Lincolnton it just wouldn't represent our city well.

"Business is Booming"

I would hate to live down here but I do know of a girl that did. It is very busy and extremely noisy but I guess that's what you get when there are businesses everywhere. There aren't that many houses down in there but hey if you're looking to open a new business maybe this is your spot. There are more than a few flourishing businesses on this street mostly thanks to the wealthy people that live in Denver, NC. And that's great for our economy.

"Pretty Cute Neighborhood"

Buffalo Shoals in a nice quiet Southern neighborhood in Lincolnton. There are a lot of really nice people living here, most of them have been here for quite a while. They are always really neighborly and would go out of their way to help people. There are some really nice houses along this street and a lot of new stuff is being built. It is a really well kept place to live.

"Gets You Where You Are Going"

Hwy 150 is one of the longest streets in Lincolnton by far. Although there are only a handful of gas stations on this busy stretch of road there are a LOT of houses. It is a pretty noisy road and there is a lot of traffic. I think it's a pretty safe road though except for the frequent car accidents. So many diverse people live on this road and at the end it leads into Denver, NC where there are tons of shops and upscale housing.

"Raunchy Run Down"

This neighborhood isn't the greatest especially if you're planning on purchasing a house here. I guess its not the worst street I've been on..but definitely not the greatest. There aren't many things to do around here and from what I've heard a lot of parties tend to happen on this street. I guess for younger people it wouldn't be so bad. It used to be somewhat of a nice area but lately it's turned into party central. I wouldn't feel safe living here. For a small street there is a lot of traffic.

"Dirt Road Dump"

If you do live on this street all I can say is I'm sorry for you. This place is horrible and I lasted about a month. The road isn't paved which would be okay except there are holes EVERYWHERE. You have to drive 2mph just so you don't tear your car all to pieces. And when it rains it's a whole other story. There is red mud everywhere and you have to drive through it and hope you don't get stuck. During my month there I didn't meet any of my neighbors but they do seem to have a problem keeping their yards clean. I'm not saying everybody is like that but most of the houses on this road have all kinds of junk in the front yard and it's not decorative stuff. I wouldn't even venture down this road unless you absolutely have to.

"Now That's Just Beachy!"

Oleander Drive is the heart of Wilmington. Wilmington is a fast growing, hip beach town and Oleander Drive is the place to be. Whether you love to shop, eat out, or just hang with friends Oleander Drive has got it all. And it's just minutes from the beach..so when you're done with that shopping trip you can just head down for a swim. Beware though it is a heavily populated area and traffic is insane on this street especially around 5 PM. It is a great place to meet people though or just have some fun with your friends.

"Seedy Little Street"

This isn't the worst street in Lincolnton by far but it is a street I would stay away from. It's loud and a little chaotic at times. There is also usually a cop riding around the street. There is a church on Hilltop and a convienence store. Some of the residents are elderly people but mostly its young people who populate the area. I don't think it's a safe street and if you do have to travel on it I would make sure to keep my car doors locked. Just a heads up.

"Nice Country Road"

Startown Street is probably the longest street in Lincolnton. It runs into Maiden and Hickory. Even though a lot of people live on Startown it's not that busy of a street. There are all types of houses and all kinds of people living on Startown. It's not quiet but it's not an extremely noisy street either. There aren't that many places to eat on Startown..maybe one or two convience stores that have small restaurants inside them. It's not the cleanest road because of litter. There is an elementary school on Startown but there aren't any stores that I can think of. If you just need to get away for a while Startown's scenery will drive away your worries and make you feel carefree.

"Back In the Woods"

If you love the outdoors Madison Furnace is the street for you. There aren't very many houses located on this street, I would say maybe 5-6. All the houses are pretty much located in the woods. There are tons, and I mean tons, of trees on this street. There are trails back in the woods where you can walk and just get away from life for a while and a small lake if you wish to take a dip. It is quiet for the most part but there are some bad things about the street. It is a dirt road and there has been some theft recently probably because it is so empty back here and theives know they can hide out in the woods. Overall though it is a nice country street and a good place to live.

"A Vacation Right At Home"

Out of every street I've ever lived on this has to be my absolute favorite. This street has no houses, but has the BEST apartments in my town. They are a little on the expensive side for my area but it is well worth it. There are so many different types of people living here and so much to do. The apartment manager organizes activities monthly for the neighbors to get together and all-in-all the staff is super nice. They do a wonderful job of taking care of the grounds and making sure everything in your apartment is working correctly. The view from every apartment is just breathtakingly beautiful. There are beautiful flowers everywhere, benches for you to sit on, and a nice walking trail. It is super quiet outside most of the time and its just so relaxing. When my friends come over they all say they feel like they are on vacation. You'll have a hard time finding another street like this one.
