"A shortcut block cutting through Astoria."

Once a "farmer's path" before Astoria was urbanized sometime in the late 19th century, Newtown Road is a diagonal section of road between Steinway Street and Northern Boulevard, starting at 41st Street and ending just past 49th Street. This is a residential block that gives a quick shortcut through this section of Astoria, and is lucky enough to be close to three schools - PS 70, IS 10 and Bryant High School. There is little else to mention besides this, and the fact that the section off of Steinway behind 41st Street is just an alley way.

"This street isn't that nice near Queens Blvd."

50th St has a really cool park at 39th St intersection in Woodside. The brick apartment buildings are a pretty nice place to live. 50th St and Queens Blvd has some interesting architecture, but that side of this street isn't as nice. The streets are busier and dirtier, but the subway is close by so that's a plus if you're looking to move onto this street.

"On 50th Street"

This street is very convenient if you’re looking to live in Brooklyn but remain connected to Manhattan. With the convenient D and M train located here on 50th Street, getting to and from midtown would be quiet simple. The street itself doesn’t have much to offer in terms of dining and entertainment, as most of the businesses on this street are more service sector oriented. All in all, this is a nice street in Brooklyn, that should be worth considering on a move to Brooklyn.
