"The way to Belvedere and the Wall"

The 79th Transverse Road is a great road for access from the east to the west side of the park, and there are some little gems right off of this road. Belvedere Castle is off of 79th and there's a fantastic rock wall that serves as a walkway beneath the castle. It was put in around the 1850's and there used to be gaslamps to light the way. Not too many tourists know about this rock wall walkway so it's a great, semi-quiet treat. The 79th St Transverse also runs directly into the Natural History Museum (one of my favorite spots!) so if you're on the east side of the park, you can just shoot straight across.
This is also a pretty convenient entrance for getting to the Summerstage, Philharmonic and Shakespeare in the Park though the 72nd entrance is a bit closer. This road isn't particularly tranquil for a park stroll because cars can use the road. But, if you need a direct shoot to any of the aforementioned sights as well as Turtle Pond and the Conservancy, then this is the best street to take.

davidp100 There's a row of small building a on the 79ht St transverse in Central Park that are strange.

The fact that they have their own bus stop is odd too.

They're attractive buildings where they face the road but... they present the same facade on the part on he BACK of the buldidings, too, where you can't see them without taking a hike.

And there are remains of a big thick wall the separates the original building from the current 79th Street.

There's something similar towards the west side of the transverse as well,

I present this as information that will be used by absolutely nobody for anything except possibly space aliens.

"On 79th Street"

Another street in this Brooklyn neighborhood, and it’s pretty much the same as the streets nearby. With small businesses and some limited housing options, this average street doesn’t have much to offer in the way of food or fun. If you’re considering this neighborhood for a move to New York City, it is close to the metros and there are many buses, providing a pulse to midtown Manhattan. Overall, this neighborhood is nice and fairly convenient, and should be considered on your move to Brooklyn.
