I know this is an old post but trying my luck. The commute sounds quick and relatively easy but I'm wondering how packed the trains are? Can you get a seat or is it a stressful crush all the way to the city?

I often take the train to NYC from Bronxville. Depending on the time you leave you may even catch a train that will get you there in 30-32 minutes. Quick and easy! You can even grab a cup of coffee and the paper at the Bronxville station.

It is a 35 to 45 minute commute by Metro North train from Bronxville to Grand Central.

JimmyB 35-45 minutes? Not sure where you get your info but it's a 22 min commute on the express trains and 32 for the local.

carloslamadrid Jimmy B is right. Svish get a Metro North Schedule. Most trains are 28 minutes. Bronxville has the best commute around!! You simply can't live closer to the city in a better community.
