"Great place for students, unpretentious party-goers"

Fifth Street in the East Village is part of a pretty closely knit neighborhood that you really only notice if you live or work in the area. The East Village is one of those neighborhoods that residents hardly ever leave, which is partially due to all its streets have to offer. From Fifth Street, just about anything you can think about doing in your day-to-day life is close at hand.

"East 5th Street"

My friends and I often fins ourselves in this neighborhood when we go out, avoiding th pretentiousness of the midtown bar and club scene. We happened upon the very laid back Ace Bar with darts, pool, and all those collegiate delights you might remember. The street houses many conveniences and has a chill feel. I liked walking here and wouldn't mind living here, with roomates and friends around, it seems like a lot of fun! It might be too run down for those of you who are a bit more established, though.

East 5th is close to the following metro and is accessible to many buses. Foot traffic is moderate, and it is a good neighborhood for young people!!
