"Restaurants designed to appeal to residents"

Walking around the Upper East Side, you will see a lot of restaurants. These definitely aren’t the trend setting places you tend to see further downtown, but rather they appeal to the old money residents of the neighborhood. One restaurant with an incredible atmosphere (chandeliers, wooden beamed ceilings, exposed interior brick walls) is Le Refuge. (You can probably tell by the name they offer, um, French cuisine. It’s really good.)

"East 82nd Street"

East 82nd street is a beautiful thoroughfare on the upper east side. As was taking my tour, it amazed me as how quickly the neighborhood's changed from now to rows of homes and the commonality and familiarity people seemed to have this street. I enjoyed that there no "bells and whistles" on this street, which seemed livable and inhabited by some really wonderful people.

East 82nd street is close to the following metro station: 6 at 77th street , and is accessible to many buses. Foot traffic is light and it is a good neighborhood for everyone.
