I looked at the for-sale and recently sold houses in Hillside Lake and tried to find some patterns -- about the only thing I noticed is that homes on the north and south end tend to be more expensive, while the houses near the lake were less expensive. Up near the Taconic State Parkway and down closer to Clove Branch Road, there are some $300-400,000 houses and up, while houses near Hillside Lake (the actual lake) were mainly under $300,000, with some even under $200,000.

There are a lot of nice neighborhoods in Hillside Lake, so I was kind of surprised to learn that there is a definite variation in home prices.
