What makes Greenburgh a CNN-voted best place to live?

Greenburgh's green initiatives seem to have made a big impression. The town hall uses solar panels, the library - which is a relatively new building - has geothermal heating and town employees use electric cars. This combined with the 600 acres of parks and nature preserves makes Greenburgh live up to its name! Add to this the diversity of the population and the reputation of the schools - it is no wonder that Greenburgh has found a place in the CNN list.

Well, appartently the top reason for CNN's rating is that Greenburgh has a more "open government" that they claim is years ahead of its time.
