"A great family neigborhood"

Middle Village is great for families, is clean, quiet, and is pretty. Not far from the city and highways. Public transportation is fine despite what others say, you just have to take a bus to get to the subway, it's one small extra step. They also have express bus service on Eliot Avenue during the week. There isn't a ton to do in Middle Village however that is part of it's charm. We do not want more things there is enough in this city. Again, family neighborhood this is not Williamsburg. If you're someone who wants a safe, quiet, clean and family oriented neighborhood then look no further.
Pros
  • Family friendly
  • Very friendly, close-knit community
  • Consistent / doesn't change much
  • Green
  • well groomed

"Eliot Avenue,Middle Village,NY"

The area has serious issues with cleanliness. It's dirty here This is NO nice area. It's dirty, it's and unhealthy. The street ground particularly between the Lutheran Cemetery and Fresh Pond Rd are dirty, smelly, and pest infested. Rats and roaches live here along with you.
Cons
  • Q38 This bus line sucks. It barely runs and when it does, its not on time
  • make sure you don't have a car.
  • Lack of diverse public transportation links
  • Lots of cemeteries
