Is there a good animal shelter where I can adopt a cat in New Rochelle?

You'll find any kind of cat (OR dog) which matches your personality and your heart's desire (or perhaps you'll be the perfect person that matches the cats' or dogs' personality and desire) at the Humane Society in New Rochelle, located on 70 Portman Road right in town. The Humane Society cares for animals that have otherwise been abandoned, abused or have lost their way. 50% of their funding income is put towards the animal control program. They are a non-for-profit organization that has been in operation since the early 1900's. When you adopt your cat here, you can also get it spayed or neutered immediately on the premasis, as well as the option of having it microchipped. The Humane Society is a trusted and honored organization that truly cares about their animals and makes sure that every lost animal will find its way to a new, safe and caring home.
