Best Places to Shop for Bargains

1. Century 21

(There are other locations as well)

(not too much a fan of the clothes.I usually consider them a bit outlandish or dowdy... but maybe I just was in there on a bad day)

If we are listing discount chains in this list then you might want to add Loehmann's which has two outlets in Manhattan at 101, 7th Avenue and 2101 Broadway on the Upper West Side to the list and also T.J.Maxx which has two outlets in Manhattan at 620 Avenue of the America's and 808 Columbus Avenue. I think there are a few Marshall's stores in the city as well but I have yet to visit any of them. Shopping at these stores are a bit of a hit and miss for me mainly because you have to trawl through mounds of clothes to find something suitable though I must admit I have scored some great shoes at a Marshall's in NJ and I last year managed to find a Barbour jacket at T.K.Maxx in London for about £60. Barbour jackets in tony stores in NYC and London usually cost $400-500.
