New York City Earth Cam

Does anyone still use this site?

Not sure if there is a long delay on these cameras, but is it just me or does this not seem life a safe idea?

Not sure how I feel about this. The ones that are farther from the street seem harmless enough, but the ones where individual people are identifiable kind of creeps me out.

I remember checking out Earth Cam when I was in college - so this has been around for the better part of the last decade. If you think about it, security cameras are everywhere, though I suppose this is different in that anyone can see what's going on in Times Square all day. You would think that there would be some kind of delay as a security measure though, like how Google Earth doesn't show up-to-the-minute satellite photos.

I don't think the cameras are strategically placed enough to do much harm, but I still think it's on the creepy side, especially with the recent scares in Times Square.
