How busy is Main Street in South Salem?

I am considering buying a house on Main Street in South Salem but I was bothered by the amount of road noise from so many cars traveling along it. The house has lovely property but I hate to think I'll avoid being outdoors because I don't want to hear lots of cars going by. Or maybe I'll just get used to it and not notice after a while? If anyone has any knowledge on what it's like to live along this road or any input generally, I'd welcome your comments. Thanks.
