Stanton St
"Love the style, love the flair"
Stanton Street is bustling into the early morning hours as the bars let out and the trendy make their way home for the night, or morning, whatever you'd like to call it. There are some great bars and lounges in the area that are worth a stop if that is your kind of thing. Arlene's Grocery is a great place to stop for a good laugh and the Stanton Social is an interesting stop as well. Some rather unique boutiques and apparel stores can be found in the area too which is nice for a people looking for unique outfits.

"No one could ever believe I lived here"
I can say I lived on Stanton St. at the heights of its hipster-dome - which wasn't always a good thing (I often heard drunken yelling into the early morning hours) - but the excellent shopping/restaurant/bar scene facilities and constant people watching resources made up for any cons.
If you venture a bit west down the street (toward SoHo, a bit away from the central LES/hipster land), there's a tiny restaurant called Mangiami - the food is AMAZING. Also worth checking out on Stanton Street is the Argentinian steakhouse Azul (good food & atmosphere) and the clothing store Lolli by Reincarnation (so you can fit in with hipsters at relatively affordable prices). Arlene's Grocery (it's a bar!) offers a unique kind of karaoke on Monday nights, where drunken patrons can sing along with a live band.

"BlueStockings on Stanton Street"
My magnet on Stanton Street is the BlueStockings Radical Book store and believe me it is every bit what the name suggests. This place gives me a fresh breath of life with its 6000 titles of the beaten track books. Its cafe and activist center help put into action new ideas in our seemingly well planned world.
Stanton street does have many other lovely sites like the Stanton St. Shul, the Vegan food store and the The M'Finda Kalunga community garden.
This is place that has to be on everyone's must visit list.

"Lingering Renaissance on Stanton"
In the neighborhood of Stanton St you will find a safe haven at Bluestockings Books, a radical coffee shop and activist center at the crosstreet of stanton and allen. Nextdoor there is good vegan eating at Tien Garden and a bit further down there is a good vegan shoe store. Lots of bikers and young hipster student types frequent the neighborhood.
