"City meets the beach..."

Manchester Boulevard is a major transition street between Inglewood and Marina del Rey. West of Sepulveda Boulevard you will find upper middle class residential neighborhoods surrounded by the essence of city establishments. You will find everything from small independently owned and operated resturaunts, to large establishments, retail stores, and eventually the beach.

Manchester has the best that Los Angeles has to offer.

"Path to the excentric..."

Eastern Venice Boulevard is a congested commuter route with residential areas that have maintained their value throughout the years. Although tinged with an urban edge the surrounding neighborhoods remain diverse. Heading west, Venice becomes a mecca of retail and commercial establishments... eventually leading to the beach. The surrounding community of unusual beach dwellers with unique talents makes Venice beach a popular hang out for tourists and locals alike. Many seem to be attracted to the indie like surroundings and uniqueness of the crowd.

Venice is part of the Los Angeles culture!

"The Vibe is electric..."

North Orange Grove is a quaint little street full of Hollywood hopefuls, Hollywood has- been's, and singles, just enjoying life. Although overcrowded, the neighborhood has a community feel... full of music, culture, and diversity. Orange Grove has flavor written all over it, and is convenient to many of the Los Angeles hot spots frequented by those neighboring and afar.

"Tourist Attraction Meets Los Angeles night life..."

If you make your way down the 10 freeway towards Malibu, your trip to Los Angeles would not be complete without a venture down the infamous 3rd Street located in Santa Monica, California. Home to the touristy 3rd Street Promenade and Mall, the street attracts travelers from all over the world, and some locals too.

If you can get past the congestion, cumbersome parking, and abundant transients.... 3rd Street offers an array of eating establishments, art galleries, retail stores, and street vendors. Oh, and there's a beach somewhere around there.

Although 3rd Street isn't the cleanest, or the most original in this decade, it still manages to attract the majority.

Go figure!

"Old World Los Angeles at its finest!"

I agree that Fairfax is an absolute traffic nightmare. The street merges into a chaotic mix of commuters, pedestrians, and a host of misplaced bus stops... making the ride even more unpredictable. However Fairfax Avenue is a old LA, established, and neighborhood friendly street filled with eateries, mom and pop shops, the famous Fairfax Market, and a liaison to some of Los Angeles and Hollywood hot spots!

"Great Alternate Route... conveninet to West Hollywood night life!"

La Brea Avenue is one of the major non interstate routes extending from South Los Angeles to Hollywood. It is a continuum of traffic and congestion as commuters often use La Brea as an alternate route to the bumper to bumper traffic found on the 405.

Although La Brea is a work in progress, full of trafficking issues and represents the essence of city life, once you get passed the undesirability of the southern route existing out of Inglewood and its surrounding, eventually it becomes a tolerable drive, with ample eateries, shops, and residential turn offs, and most importantly an abundance of public transport routes,

It is of my opinion that La Brea Avenue offers a representation of the heart of Los Angeles/ Hollywood. Although it isn't the most pleasing to the eye, is a necessity to the surrounding communities!
