Rockridge neighborhood is one of the best neighborhoods in Oakland. Rockridge is your own little piece of heaven where the suns always shine. It is bounded by Broadway and Telegraph Avenue, reaching from Berkeley border to 51st Street. The neighborhood has a diverse group of people, shops, and homes. It is the epiphany of a substantial neighborhood in Oakland Ca. Long time residents and college student mingle amongst each other at the many restaurants and all the small shops. If anyone craves the down-home feel, Rockridge is the neighborhood that offers it. I enjoy walking home from the Bart station, congregateing at the markets, and enjoying friends company during breakfast. However, all of these amazing qualities have caused the prices of homes to rise much higher than the rest of Oakland. Rockridge is culturally, economically, and ethnically diverse.

Beacon Hill or The Hill as the locals like to call it is a beautiful place to live. Beacon Hill is divided into 4 sub-divisions South Beacon Hill (which is my home) North Beacon Hill, Holly Park, and Mid Beacon Hill. There is the Dr. Jose Rizal Park where you are able to see downtown, Lake Washington and Elliot Bay. If the weather is exceptionally good you may also catch a glimpse of the Olympic Mountains (which are beautiful). Beacon Hill also has a lot of history to offer especially in the homes. There are homes there that were built in the early 1900’s. Beacon Hills is also the headquarters for the famous Amazon.com.

This is place to spend some quality time with the lovies (love ones). There are good shopping places that I like to visit such as Foot Locker and Davis & Warshow. There are some educational places that you should absolutely visit with the kids. My kids love these places; there is the Bronx Historical Society that I think every person from the Bronx are live in the Bronx should go learn about the history of their neighborhood. Also near by there is the The New York Botanical Garden the whole reason for even visiting Botanical Square.
