"Heaven"

Completely quiet residential street that is somehow within spitting - or at least throwing - distance of both the Meadowbrook Parkway and the local LIRR stop. Everything you could want, and more, is available within walking distance of this little street, and what's more, the avenue itself is isolated enough that you'll never hear any of the bustle. Long Island gets a bad rap, but this area is its own little slice of heaven.

"Your typical West Dallas community"

Since the neighborhood is located in Keller, it pretty much winds up being on the periphery of the Dallas area, which isn't saying much if you simply need access to warm weather and good schools, but is quite a pain as nearly every major attraction in the area is a solid half hour away. Even relatively common eateries are a solid commute. The street itself has ample, if sparsely planted lots, which has the unintended consequence of keeping the neighbors relatively distant from one another. Odds are if you ever see your neighbors, it'll only be at the neighborhood association meetings, or else jogging recreationally.

"Tucked away between Wal-Mart and the wilderness"

Provided you don't mind being away from the heart of the city, this is an ideal St. Louis county neighborhood just off of highway 40 with easy access to St. Charles. The area around Wildwood and Chesterfield has really been built up in the last several years, and Chesterfield Airport Road is, according to a rampant urban legend (which perhaps someone else can confirm) the largest contiguous strip mall in the country. This might sound like a bad thing, and provided you were closer to the parking lot and unable to see the stars for the wash of neon lights, it might be; yet this neighborhood winds up being just the right distance from largely rural Wildwood and the quickly growing Chesterfield. Great neighborhood for raising kids, with wonderful public high schools and (now that 40 has reopened) easy access to downtown.
