"Relatively Quiet Street For Having a School On It"

S. Harvard is the location of Foshay Middle and Upper school. While it is the location of these two public schools, it is a relatively quiet neighborhood. A few houses line the street opposite to the school and there is never really a lot of traffic here or disruptions. Parking is not ever really a problem, unless it is street cleaning day. Every time I have visited the street has seemed safe and it has been fine to walk around in the area.

"So much construction here!"

There is a ton of construction going on on this part of 37th street. Definitely not a fun place to be, drive, or live. Construction is known to go on until 3 am in the morning, so people who live in this area are always hearing power drills and jack hammers. Its also very hard to drive your car over the extremely rocky terrain. This street won't be fixed up till about 2010 so avoid it till then!

"Weird Place to Be and Live"

Monmouth street is a popular street for college students who are looking for a place that is cheap, considering the expensive prices of most apartments in the area. Monmouth however is in a weird location and kind of a far walk or bike ride from anything. It is half locals and half students who live there. There are much better streets to live and hangout on if you are going to USC and deciding to live near campus.

"Popular Living Area for College Students"

30th street is a popular living area for college students, however it is rather unsafe. Many people have been mugged or attacked along this street at night. While it is frequently populated with cars, it is not very well lit and apartment buildings are easily accessible. It is not a good street to just hangout on during the day, it is really only good for passing through.

"Good housing area, somewhat unsafe street"

There is pretty good apartment housing in this area. The streets are usually lined with college students, however the area is still somewhat unsafe. It is close to the 2-9 restaurant, and that is pretty much the only food source within really close walking distance. Parking is very bad on this street, especially on days with street cleaning.

"USC's Fraternity and Sorority Row"

This place is the place to live if you are a USC fraternity or sorority member. Most of the Greek houses are on this street, which means it is constantly busy with car and foot traffic. The housing is generally very good, but you can only live here if you are in one of the frats or sororities. Parking is pretty bad, like most places around campus. The "Row" is very close to many fast food places and some quick dining places. A good place to live if you love to party and go to USC.

"Traffic Heavy Area, next to USC"

W 37th street is a traffic heavy area. However, it is partially on USC's campus so that makes it a relatively safe place to be. The apartments that are found on this street are pretty decent since they are so close to the campus. Also, the street is right next to the "UV" center which has a movie theater, stores, a supermarket, and many food places.

"Quiet place to live close to USC"

Menlo Ave is a decent place to live near USC. It is a little far from the campus, probably about a 10 minute bike ride. However, it has relatively cheap housing and the area is full of students. The street does have some "locals" living there and a church, but for the most part it is pretty safe. It is also next to a Ralphs shopping center which is very convenient.

"Decent Place to Live, Pretty Safe"

The street is pretty safe considering the area. There is a lot of foot traffic at all times and lots of fast food places which makes it convenient to get meals. The street is lined with schools and museums which also makes it a somewhat friendlier area than other parts of South Central.
