Sure the Sunset Strip is famous and you have the houses and the restaurants, but maybe if you can afford it it's fun. I got lost on this street one night and it was no walk in the park. It was safe, but it was lonely as well maybe I just wasn't on the right part of it, but oh well. I did see the scientology church and that was weird because I really never see those in the midwest, probably for a good reason, so I took a photo for fun. I guess if you are a tourist you should go to sunset at least once otherwise eh leave it be and stick to Hollywood and Highland the heart and epicentre of the great city of Hollywood.

I recommend this street for the business professional. It has the Walt Disney Concert Hall, a Guggenheim design, so even if you don't go in check out the buiding. It has some great event places as my boss at VR special events was saying and it has the Standard Hotel, which if you can afford the topsy turvy hotel you should stay. It's a place not for the beggars or actors, but for the ones looking for class and it really is the only "Clean" street in downtown LA.

The thing is 7th street crosses some not bad streets like Fig and it has the holy grail of coffee shops like The Coffee bean and Tea Leaf, but it all closes at six. Even Macys and their are not really any bars on this street and then the weirdos come out and start asking for change when everything closes. It's dull, but if you work it's probably necessary to come here. I suggest sticking to better streets like Fig or Grand.

I like Vine. It crosses Hollywood and it has a Metro....I recommend not driving on this street or Hollywood. Just take the red line to where you need to be it takes you to the walk of fame and everything. Vine is great for a Hollywood sign photo op and Capital Records is right their as well so you never know what you might see. Also the theatre district is their. Right when you get off the red line you have your choice of bars and you can even catch a show. Last time I went I believe they had Dirty Dancing going...I can't remember, but I for one am hoping for wicked. The negative of vine is all the construction a lot of the hotels are undergoing remodeling so it makes the mood kind of bleek, but if you can get by that you can find bars, restaurants, and stores to shop in.

I love this street. I think to truly appreciate it you need to appreciate weird people. You have the papparazzi sitting outside restaurants on the walk of fame, you have the Hollywood Sign, and the homeless as well, you also have the out of work actors. I love it one day you can walk and someone asks you for change and you just want to leave then the next you can be talking to the most fascinating people. You can see people trying to pole dance on signs and try to get into places they shouldn't be. You can get hit on by total weirdos and have stories to tell later and you can find some amazing food here I love going by Hollywood and Vine for the sheer fact that is has the walk of fame and Natsuya where all the Papi's hang out by oh and their is a Pinkberry and a Borders in that area as well. One thing is for sure if you are in need of entertainment go here.

Rosecrans is a huge street, but I don't suggest going to the area of E. LA. If you have to go to Rosecrans stick to the coast, Manhattan Beach, where it is covered in cute houses and theatres and shopping. Otherwise you will be in a very ghetto area of the city and at night you will have strange men come up to you and hit on you or ask to kiss your feet (not kidding) it happened to me.
