"Residential area within South Beach"

8th Street is located in South Beach, but is not in the middle of the tourist and club zones. Because of this, it an attractive place for residents who actually want to get some sleep at night. Being isolated from the louder parts of the city also means that it is necessary to take the bus or a cab to get to those spots.

"A mix of residential and clubs"

4th Street is a borderland between the clubs of South Beach and the residential condos of South Point. There are many large clubs and restaurants in the area and also low rise condos. The late night noise, illegal parking and traffic created by the clubs creates ongoing disputes for the condo residents.

"Casual version of Ocean Drive"

Ocean Terrace is a low key, casual version of Ocean Drive. You can go shopping or to the beach without the attitude and high cost. This short road allows you to park very close the beach and also be only a block away from the many restaurants and shops of the North Beach area.

"Soon to be luxury Spot"

1st Street is a street in transition with a great deal of potential. After the Cuban boat lift in the eighties, this area was a bad slum that police would not enter it without a lot of backup. Now South Point is ringed by luxury high rise condos. 1st street is not ocean front, but is close enough.

"train and bus stations"

This area contains the train station, the main bus hub, the courthouse and the library. Beware of the vagrants, con men and hustlers hang out around the library and train station at all hours. The court house empties after 5:00 pm and its best to leave the area when the lawyers do.

"Georgeous art deco architecture one one side and the ocean on the other"

This street is what people envision when they think of Miami Beach. Along one side of the street are Art Deco hotels and along the other side is a park, beach and the ocean.

"Don't get out of your car in this area"

This road passes through some very bad areas. There are many fast food places along this road, which are not along Biscayne Blvd, so that is the only reason to travel this way. If detours make you use this road at night, do not park and do not get out of the car. Just keep moving.

"Downtown shopping and transportation hub"

West flager street is the center of downtown shopping. Small stores line the road, many geared toward either tourists or immigrants. The street has a seedy, run down atmosphere and numerous empty storefronts. This area is a transportation hub for the county. Maybe bus routes terminate here and there is also a rail station. Due to this, there are many vagrants, thieves and con artists hanging around all day long.

"Part of Cuba, not part of America"

This city is the center of Little Havanna. Although it is geographically in the USA, it is mentally and politically in Cuba. The Cuban immigrants in the business on this street do not tolerate people with a different political or cultural view. If you go here as a tourist, be careful.
