"desirable place to live"
First Avenue Loop is part of Stuyvesant Town, a nice housing development on the East Side. It tree-lined, with a park in the middle of the development. This is a very safe area, and Stuy Town even has its own security officers for added safety. There are several good schools nearby, and Beth Israel Med Center, which is convenient but can be noisy due to ambulances and traffic. This overall seemed to be a very nice place to live, an oasis in Manhattan.

"historic Stuyvesant Town"
Stuyvesant Town is a historic post-war housing project that was recently renovated into some very nice apartments. Avenue C Loop runs through the east side of Stuyvesant Town. This housing development is in a quiet, beautiful park-like setting so that you don't feel like you are in downtown Manhattan. This seemed to be a very pleasant place to live, fairly expensive but not any more so than the rest of Manhattan.

"not so bad, inexpensive living in Manhattan"
Baruch Place is a small loop near the Williamsburg Bridge that leads to Brooklyn. There is low income housing in the area, but it actually isn’t that bad. There is a park on site for the Baruch Housing residents, and it is also close to Hamilton Park and East River Park. There are also several schools very close by. Overall this didn’t seem like a bad choice for people who need lower income housing, it seems safe and is well maintained.
Trimble Pl
"convenient to government office buildings"
Trimble Place is a short little side street connecting Thomas St. and Duane St. in the Tribeca area of Manhattan. It is really more of an alley way connecting these two streets, so there is not much to see or much to it other than parking for people who work nearby. It is near many businesses and city government office buildings so it could be a convenient shortcut for people who work nearby.

"Lots of retail and restaurants, near Hudson Park"
Leroy Street seemed to be a nice place to live when I visited the area. It runs alongside Hudson Park, which is a really nice well maintained park. The housing mostly consists of brick townhouses or row houses, which seemed very nice and I’m sure quite pricey. There is quite a bit on this street, a yoga studio, a great Japanese restaurant, and some unique produce markets and wine shops.

"near beautiful Stuyvesant Square"
Rutherford Pl is a nice little street running along Stuyvesant Square. It is conveniently located near the 3rd Ave Metro stop, and near Union Square for access to all the metro lines. There are some really nice restaurants in the immediate area, although not directly on this street, and a beautiful old Episcopal Church. This is a really nice area to walk in in the evenings, Stuyvesant Sq is beautiful and well-maintained.

"Apartments near hospital"
Mt. Carmel Pl is a small loop near Bellevue Hospital. It is mostly apartments, which are fairly nice but it can be noisy due to all the ambulances and activity around the hospital. Overall it seemed to be a pleasant street to live on when I visited a friend there. There are quite a few trees along the street and a nice park, giving the place less of a concrete jungle feel. This would be a convenient area for an NYU med student or someone who worked at Bellevue to live in.

"Follow this street for amazing chocolates!"
Extra Place is a very short side street off of East 1st St in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. There is not much on this small alleyway, except one very important thing- Bespoke chocolates! They have some of the best, most unique handmade chocolates around. The sea salted caramels and dark chocolate truffles are to die for. Extra Place is conveniently located near the 2nd Ave metro stop, and near the intersection of Bowery and Houston, so it is not out of the way, although it is so small it is easy to miss.
