"Historic, beautiful, well-kept: a GEM"

This quiet cobblestone street backs up to Chatham College, and spans between Shady Ave and Wightman. It's one of the most charming streets in Pittsburgh: hilly, historic houses, gardens. Home owners on this street express their pride. The street is purely residential, but you can walk just a few blocks to Squirrell Hill for nightlife and shopping. One of Pittsburgh's best.

"Gas Lamps and Brownstones"

From Prospect Park to 2nd Avenue, this stretch of South Slope is as good as it gets. Setps from the park, the Pavillion Theater to the east, and to the south a new Beer Hall just opened up. In between, you'll find a grade school (public) all kinds of shops and restaurants on 7th Ave. Close to 5th Ave, there are new (trendy) places but also life-savind discount shops - but is seems like this is getting gentrified more and more every day. No complaints, though. Tree-lined streets, the park. Subways near by. It's perfect.
