"Great place for rich people, blue haired residents"

If you’re looking for a theatre production and you hate Times Square and all surrounding areas, head over to this street and check out Lincoln Center Theatre. True, the shows they put on there seem to be geared to a more elderly generation (um, South Pacific), but this neighborhood is such a sigh of relief compared to Midtown that it’s worth visiting.
There’s a restaurant on this street that isn’t too far from Central Park West that doesn’t offer a vegan menu, but actually has a few options on the menu that vegans can choose from, like an organic tofu salad (hold the cheese). It’s called Le Pain Quotidien and it’s not exactly a chain, but it has multiple locations in large fashionable cities.

"Not a bad street - especially nice around Amsterdam and Broadway"

My main occasion to visit 65th street is to take the crosstown bus over to the east side, but it's not a bad street. Between West End and Amsterdam, it's a bit boring, with one side being a solid concrete wall, and the other side being low-income housing projects. However, at Amsterdam it livens up - on one corner is the High School for the Performing Arts, kittycorner is the New York Public Library, and across from that is Lincoln Center! Continuing on eastward, you'll pass Juilliard before reaching the major intersection of Broadway, Columbus, and 65th. Between Columbus and Central Park West, you can dine in style at Shun Lee's or live in one of the beautiful (but expensive) old apartment buildings. Finally, you'll reach Central Park, where you'll find the ultra-convenient through street going to the east side.

"Take Me to The Park"

Gorgeous views of Central Park West, walking distance to Lincoln plaza, a short walk to the New York Philharmonic, and the Lincoln Center Theatre, this street has a lot of character. I enjoy it because of its neighborhood vibe and the relaxed culture. In a city so filled with people, this particular city is so filled with a beautiful sense of calm. Good access to the subway and mass transit. This area of Central Park is also close to the Carousel! A great date street, or place to clear your head, I recommend this street for both living and leisure.
