Right on the nose. I moved to a sublet here from Noho (miss it so much) and the vibe is strange; dull but rather snotty. People seem uptight here. I got along well with people downtown, but up here they have attitudes that I just don't relate to. I'm not talking about snobbishness, I'm talking about the attitudes of ordinary people, mostly East of Lexington Avenue. I just don't know what their problem is.

It's a really nice neighborhood but it's incredibly stuffy. The two biggest private schools are located in Yorkville if that tells you anything. It's, for the most part, very privileged people with an exceptional attitude problem. And, I don't think the Upper East Side, in general, is as pretty as the Upper West. It's a whole different breed of energy and people in this neighborhood and I don't get them at all. Plus, the restaurant and bar scene is minimal and transportation leaves much for wanting. The only train (the green line) is a bit of a hike from the majority of Yorkville. And, that's fine in the spring, but it's a beast during a blizzard. Of course, it's not all snotty and I know plenty of normal people that live there. I just don't like the energy . . .or lack thereof.
