"Everything can improve a bit, but nice overall"
It's not quiet. You will get used to hearing parties from 10am-12am, lots of honking, and cars and motorcyclists. It is nice though how you can go from one side of town to the next, and it can be extremely peaceful and calm, with trees in the breeze and paths along the bay. Thanks to all the high rises, the city has a good amount of shade, and it's pretty safe in terms of taking walks by yourself, at night, jogging, etc (this is typically geared towards women by themselves). But, there will always be pervs wherever you go in life, and yes they have some there too. Homeless people are a handful, but not dangerous (at least from my experiences so far). They keep to themselves but can be indecent because yes, they smell up the city here and there. Overall though, don't picture a city that smells with a bunch of creeps and homeless people, it's not like that. As for parks and food options, there are honestly some of the prettiest views I've ever seen. They have all price types for dining there, though shops are not the same--they're mostly high end. There are malls within 15 minute drives and many other stores even walking distance in the neighboring cities like Wynwood and Downtown Miami. It's close to the beach too, though traffic can turn a 10 minute drive to a 30 minute drive.
