"Pretty much a racetrack"

This is pretty much a three lane highway that happens to have people living on it. Be very careful crossing this street as people usually fly at like 50+ down it and I've seen lots of lights being run!

"A little Creepy, but Strangely Lively"

Queens' Broadway in Astoria does not suggest as much variety and attractions as the street of the same name in Manhattan. Although it is conveniently the home of the N and W trains, Broadway in Astoria is creepy at night because it does not have a lot of light, but it does have a few restaurants and bars along the way. There are some people on the street pretty much at all hours, but that does not necessarily mean that one wants to be there alone, especially if they are not from the area. If you have a specific place to go here, and are well aware of where it is and how to get home from it, then there's no issue. However, it is not a place that you want to get lost in. Although it is called "Broadway", it is, as the areas surrounding Manhattan are, not so easy to navigate. Astoria is essentially a fun place to hang out, and Broadway is a good place to start off from. Various streets branch of from here that have enough to offer for a long, fun night.

"On 36th Street"

Nothing really changes from street to street in this Brooklyn neighborhood, and 36th Street is filled with the same offerings of its neighbors: housing, small businesses, and parallel parking. I liked the trees on this street, and the light traffic, but I don’t know if I’d like to live on this street. This area of Brooklyn isn’t much for touring and I wouldn’t put it on my list of places to visit, either. All in all, an average street in an average neighborhood of Brooklyn.

"No Miracle on this 34th Street"

Compared to other streets in the area, 34th Street didn’t have as much to offer as its neighbors. I felt that it was a bit more run down and dirty. It was also noisy and there was a good amount of traffic. The hitch to living in certain sections of Brooklyn is a loss of easy accessibility to midtown, with the reduction of proximity to the MTA. Getting around this section of Brooklyn is much easier with a car, so that should be taken into consideration if you’re considering renaming 34th Street “home.”

"This is one of the best kept secrets in NYC"

Living between the N/W and R/V trains in Astoria is incredibly convenient and a great value. The dining and nightlife are great and it won't kill your wallet. The area is pretty safe and clean. Downsides are that there is alot of noise due to the elevated trains and excessive nightlife on the weekends and parking is terrible.
