"A Lot of Stores and Then Some"

The early part of E. 174th Street from Boston Road is mainly stores on both sides. It is a commercial district. Then once you get past Bryant Avenue, you get into the residential area. From Boone Avenue to Stratford Avenue you will cross over an overpass that looks like a long bridge. It is a two lane highway that takes you over Sheridan Expressway and Boston River Avenue.

It isn't really a bad looking area. More than half is residential, but even that area doesn't look half bad. The only area that looks bad is where the street meets Boston Rd and Southern Blvd.

"Great Place for Shopping & Coffee Addicts"

174th Street is a little busy and bustling but great for cheap eateries. I did some discount shopping and grabbed a great cup of coffee at the 174th Coffee Shop. I would reccommend this for shoppers on the go and want to grab a quick bite to eat for under 5 dollars. Great dress shops and discount prices on almost anything.
