"Great way to see the Park"

If you want to jog or bike on East Dr in Central Park, then make sure you get to the park before 3pm or after 7pm, as this street is open to car traffic during those hours. Otherwise, this street is great for recreational purposes – it also affords pretty good people watching, as the park is populated by a lot more than just people attempting to stay in shape.

"The best of Manhattan, this street runs the length of Central Park."

East Drive generally follows along the east side of Central Park, sometimes towards the middle and sometimes on the edge. It then makes a u-turn and turns into West Drive to come back along the other side. It goes directly next to the Jackie O Reservoir. It is an absolutely beautiful tree lined drive.

"One of New York's nicest streets."

One of the other major connections to the central running and biking trail in Central Park, Central Park East Drive has many good things to call its own. Running very close to the reservoir, Central Park East Drive's location makes it very easy for someone to leave the road and sit on a lovely bench overlooking a gorgeous day and the water. Or if you'd prefer, you could head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and enjoy the beautiful Egyptian sculptures or the medieval suits of armor, which are always exciting to the kids.

"Museums Museums, everywhere!"

If you like museums, or learning, or a combination of those two, this is perfect for you. The entire area is beautiful, as this is where most of the ambassadors live. Go to the Metro museum, or any of the other several ones for a great learning experience. Enjoy the scenes and knowledge you're going to obtain and absorb!

"Walk Down Museum Row"

Museum Row, home to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and the Frick, among others is a nice stretch of Central Park E that is a busier walk, but features the houses of many international ambassadors (i.e. it's kind of beautiful). Close to the entrance to the Central Park Zoo and the bandstand, home to free concerts in the summer.
