"A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there"

Unless it is the day of the Mermaid Parade or the hot dog eating contest this avenue is a lot quieter than other main drags in Coney Island but it still has all of the sagging architecture and high crime of the rest of the area. There has been a lot of back and forth about the closing of Astro Land and the opening of an indoor theme park and condos, so you could take a chance that buildings on this Avenue will get a face lift and more interesting businesses will pop up, as it is right now, this Avenue is pretty bleak.
