City Budget Cuts May Hurt Bronx Zoo

Just as if what Bloomberg's cuts have done to the city so far, the budget cuts are also going to affect the Bronx Zoo.

Because of the budget cuts, the lives of the animals are affected.

That's sad. Zoo's are so educational to little kids. I love zoo's. Haven't been to one in years. But that doesn't stop me from saying that zoo's should stay out of it.

I think zoos are sad and depressing. What's more sad and depressing? The former zoo animals becoming New York City bums and vagrants. . . .

@Everybody: I like going to zoos. They are educational. You learn so much about animals. I'm sorry the Bronx Zoo has been affected by budget cuts.

I don't know.. I'm not one of those people who thinks animals are better off in the wild or something. I mean, they may not get as much roaming space in a zoo, but they are so much less likely to be eaten!

Never been to the zoo here, is it good? I don't like watching animals behind bars, it depresses me a little too much. And i"m guessing the zoo can't afford vast acreage to let the animals roam and frolick, hunh?
