New Park Has Opened in Battery Park City

I read on NY1 today that Teardrop Park South, located off Murray Street in Battery Park City, has officially opened Wednesday.

The park contains half and acre and is considered an extension to Teardrop Park North.

If you go there, you will notice two blue-stone water features -- one calm and flowing and the other gushing and active.

You will also notice the park's system of heliostats, which sit on the roof of a 23-story residential tower. The solar reflectors reflect sunlight back into the park.
