Why am I not surprised?actually corruption has always existed in the US , its only been dressed up more effectively than in other countries.

@Uptowngirl: You got that right. Corruption is at every level. It is in the government and in businesses to. Why corruption. Because people want to get rich. And they will take whatever route is necessary, as long as they think they won't get caught.

I think this is one of those things that always seems worse in modern times - maybe people have just gotten worse at hiding their corrupt scandals.
