"Great little community on the South Shore of Staten Island full of neighborly spirit"

Great Kills, in my opinion is the safest, cleanest, and most neighborly neighborhood in NYC. It has some of the best schools in the city, many parks and recreational areas, including Great Kills Park, home to 4 beaches, a marina, and a bike/ running path. It gives you the opportunity to live a train/ ferry ride away from the biggest city in the world, while having the comfort of nature and a nice family- friendly atmosphere to raise kids in. I have lived here all my life, and am proud to say it. The only problem, is recently, as with the rest of staten island, and the rest of the country, drug use is becoming more prevalent, especially near the Great Kills train station. However, local officials are taking care of the problem, and it has been going away.
