The average home value in Union Vale is $254,600 as of May 2012. Like everywhere else in Dutchess County, prices have cratered here -- it's down over $100k in about five years.

There are some nice homes out in Union Vale so the average might be a little higher than typical, but you'll probably find a lot of your standard 1,000-2,000 square foot homes in this town. According to zillow.com, a plurality of houses are in the 1,000 to 1,400 square foot range, but 30% are 2,400 and up, which is relatively substantial.
