Washington street was named in honor of the first president of USA, George Washington. It runs north-south in Manhattan. It crosses the Houston street in east-west. There is no much traffic on this street as public transportation is scarce. From the Washington street you get a view of New Yorks first prison, the New gate State Prison. Washington street is also famous for its beer bars.

"Better as a food street"

It is located in Manhattan and is gaining name as a food hub with numerous restaurants opening on this cross street. You have a wider range of food to choose to put your hunger to rest. The University settlement House is notorious establishment here. Vehicular traffic runs west on this street. I still remember the aroma that senses your nose as you pass across the street. You just can resist the food and snacky dishes served here.

Nassau street is located in Manhattan. The New York city hall shares its neighborhood. It was also known as the Stamp district. Shopping is the major activity on this street. It has an added advantage of having four linked stations which reduce load on vehicular traffic.
I never did see such a huge system of railways having four stations which in itself attracts various tourists like me. It was really a wonderful experience.

"My favorite spot in city"

This street got its name from the fourth president of USA, James Madison. It carries only one way traffic and runs north-south of New York city. World’s top class boutiques such as Gucci,Valentino are located on this street. The name Madison avenue can be found in many television advertisements. There a very few advertising agencies over here. But I was deeply engrossed in shopping offers. It is a place to be if you always dreamt of having a Gucci or a Valentino brand.

"Not a pleasant place for dwelling"

Ann Street is a long and one of the oldest street in New York. It is located in the financial district of Manhattan. Rats have been a nuisance over here for quite a long time. The street is very narrow and posesses a dull atmosphere. City Hall is in the far neighborhood of Ann Street. As you walk down the street you will find traces of history along with the foul odor and rats running here and there. Life can be very hard at Ann Street with not much care taken about the sanitary needs.
