"Love Garden City"

11th Street in Garden City is a bit busier than other Streets in the city, but it still maintains Garden City's peaceful vibe.
Just off of 11th Street on Franklin Ave is Roosevelt Field Mall (you can actually enter the mall via Sears on 11th St.). The Mall is Great! Great mid to high end shopping, and dining.

"Not much here for the tourist"

11th Street is just an industrial through street which passes under the Queensboro Bridge and through Queens Plaza. There’s nothing much here unless you're in the market for building supplies or are into touring warehouses. The surrounding area is more of the same, warehouses parking lots and drab gray streets.

"Scary place to get lost at night but close to area gems"

I took the wrong exit off of the LIE and somehow found myself here on Borden Ave. Very dark, very scary. Pretty much just a bunch of warehouses, parking lots, and the LIE overhead. But it's not far from the Chocolate Factory theatre on 49th Ave, The Laguardia Performing Arts Center on Thompson Ave, and the Farmers Market on 48th Ave. It's also just a 10 minute drive to the Queens Center Mall on Queens Blvd.

"Love it here"

Great location. Located in the United Nations area, and near the east river. While the tree lined street is tucked away off to the side, the hustle and bustle of the city is just around the corner. Great bars, great restaurants, great hotels and let's not forget the beautiful and grand tudor homes. I'm a walker so for someone who doesn't mind walking a few blocks West, the Times Square theatre is right there; walk a few blocks South West and there's 34th Street with Madison Square Garden, Macy's and loads of other shopping.
Great street to live on and a great street to visit even if you can only see the outside of these homes.
