"Nice Street to hang out in"

5th Avenue in Bay Ridge, is a typical Bay Ridge street where you can find a mix of brand name stores/resturants and smally shops and Delis. I don't know about other areas where this street might extend to. The traffic in this street is fairly normal. It's neither quiet nor congested. In this street you can find the municipal parking garage. Also the Bay Ridge branch of USPS is well located in this street. in the upper streets (the 90's) you can find KFC and Staples. Subway, Burger King, and Dunkin Donut are here on 5th Avenue of Bay Ridge. A lot of 99 cents stores and middle eastern Hala meat shops are situated in this street between the 70's and the 80's.

"A close street to many stores"

This is a typical mid-town Manhattan street. It's really crowded, the street is narrow, and there is always a traffic jam in this street. No green life in this street of course. Lots of useuless pointless small shops with meaningless facades. Probabally a good street for someone to work in, or to have a small business there or a professional office but defintley not for living. These were the disadvantages of that street. The advantages are, for me, you are close to tons of stores, resturants and banks. To name few of them: Duane Reade, Star Bucks, McDonalds, Subway, Bank of America, and another 3-4 banks that I don't recall.
