"Great place for errands"

University Drive is a large, well known road in Ft. Lauderdale. It is in a nice area depending on which part of University Drive you are on. There are many stores, diners, and strip malls that have been off this road forever and don't look like they are going anywhere. Many useful places along this road as well as entertainment such as the University Bowl (bowling). There is also a Broward Community College nearby as well as Nova Southeastern University. You will find that you can get a lot done on this road but I don't recall there being too many living areas off of it.

"Great for nightlife or beach!"

Las Olas is located in downtown Ft Lauderdale. While that means LOTS to do- dining, nightlife, beach, artsy museum areas, it also means a bit dangerous at night. It is not uncommon there are drunk drivers leaving late night hop spots crushing around this area. As well as teens speeding/racing their cars from time to time trying to be "cool". I would not recommend living in this area unless it is in one of the nicer spots by the ocean. There is tons of traffic on this road and many small streets that you can easily got lost in. If you are visiting, I'd recommend getting a good map or a plain old taxi to take you around here!

"Great road to get you from point A to point B."

This is a great road to take when running errands, or just making numerous trips throughout the day to pick up a thing here or there. Be careful as there are many canals between the lanes on this road and I sadly have heard of more accidents then you would expect due to these canals off Griffin Road and careless drivers. This road also connects you to I75. If you go down towards the Markham Park area it becomes a bit of a "hick" town, where you will most likely see many trucks and old fashioned buildings. I would not reccomend living off certain areas of Griffin Road but then again there aren't many neighborhoods directly off of it.

"Great street! Lots of neighborhoods, schools, and strip malls!"

Pines Blvd. is a LARGE street in Pembroke Pines (located in Ft.Lauderale, FL). It connects to I75. There are many neighborhoods, schools, strip malls, and government offices off this road. You could simply take a drive down Pines Blvd. and pretty much meet any needs you are looking for. There are tons of large stores such as your typical Circuit City, Target, Petsmart, Kmart, Barnes & Nobles, Mens Wearhouse, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, etc. shopping spots. There is also a great mall on this road too Pretty much any chain restaurant is off this road as well! Also, a large park (C.B. Smith) is here too- many concerts and events take place here and parking gets bad so its nice to be able to walk! There is also a retirement community here too. EXCELLENT for familys. Crime is not nearly as high around here as it is in other spots of Ft. Lauderdale but I would be careful at night as always.

"Nice street to shop on but not to live on!"

East Broward Blvd. provides a lot of activities to engage in but is perhaps not the best place to live! I do know a store got robbed at gunpoint in this area. But then again that’s the nature of the beast- Ft. Lauderdale in general. There is a great mall (Broward Mall) with decent stores, nothing to high class but enough to get your fill of necessary shopping needs in, here. There is also a Broward Community College campus here, great for the commuter students. However I would not recommend taking night classes at the campus, there have been some mischievous activities reported when the sun falls here. Made me drop a class. East Broward Blvd. never really has too much traffic and there are school zones in the area which helps reduce speeding. Overall, it’s a nice street to visit for entertainment such as eating out (many restaurants), shopping, or education but I would not recommend living off of it!
