Musicals

I had no idea that the movie Shrek is now a musical. I was just in New York and saw that they made a musical. I was really interested so I saw it and was very pleased. Brian D’Arcy James and Sutton Foster who play Shrek and Fiona, were such a great pair. Overall the musical was very creative and hilarious. http://www.shrekthemusical.com/reviews.html

I'm not a huge fan of contemporary movie-to-musicals (give me the old Cole Porters anyday - and Phantom is a classic, despite the schlock!) But Sutton Foster's quite good. I saw her as Jo in the short-lived (and mediocre) "Little Women" - she was by miles the best thing about it. And I know I've seen BDJ in something, but I can't recall what....

Anyone see The Vibrator Play? Looks interesting...

I knew about the play Shrek. I saw the reviews. I just haven't had the chance to go see it. I've been working a lot so I haven't had time to go see much of anything. But when I do get a chance, I will go to see a play.
