@uptowngirl Nooooo... Or am I? It's so hard to tell! Which one are you admitting to?

Egads, I admit to none. I do spend some time online, more than I should, but I thankfully don't comment on much.

@Uraniumfish Unless you're here?
@uptowngirl Ohhhh! I honestly never noticed, so it can't be that bad. Plus, most of the time it's nice to know when someone is LOLing with you. But I will say I hate being on chatroulette when someone types "lol" and I can clearly see they didn't even crack a smile!

A friend of mine constantly texts 'lol" when she's saying something rude or slighting. Drives me bonkers.

I don't understand the "lol"-ing at your own derisive comments thing. Like, if you didn't type "lol," no one could see that you were messing around?

I tend to think badly of people who carry the 'lol' over into emails - guess I'm just old-school and think of emails as a faster form of letter-writing, not as a longer form of forum posting.

@ajadedidealist Is it just me, or are people often overcritical of the Times? The paper released a book called Smarter by Sunday and it seemed like many of the reviews on Amazon pointed out that the Times had problems getting their facts correct.

@BroadwayBK Aren't people basically divided into readers of the NY Times and readers of the WSJ?
@ajadedidealist So... most of them?

@ajadeidealist I agree. Those people seem so precious with their own smarts, they're boring. I guess I know enough super smart people to know that smart alone doesn't make someone interesting.
