What is the best neighborhood for parking in Manhattan?

I'm considering a move to New York City. I would very much love to make it happen and bring my car with me. What are some neighborhoods to consider with best street parking availability? I know none will be great but some better than others?

Echoing AJ, definitely stay on the sides. Way east or way west. I live right near york ave (way east) and parking isn't horrendous. I usually have to drive around the block a few times but I find something within 15 minutes.

Oh wow - it's such a HUGE place. You generally get better parking the closer you go towards the water on either West or East. Parking in the middle is next to impossible.
