18th Century Ship Found At WTC Site

Guess what I heard and read on NY1 today. While excavators were digging at the WTC site to get it ready to put in the new foundation, they uncovered something amazing.

I stated in another forum that you never know what can be found underground in this city. This find proves my point.

I think I will go get a pick and shovel, go down into the basement and start digging.

@hhusted I read this in the NYT and saw it on the news quite fascinating isn't it? You never know what you might find down there :)

@Uptowngirl: Yes, indeed. Like I said in another forum, NYC has a lot of history buried underground.

This is AWESOME! I'm sorry that this discovery had to come about under such tragic circumstances, but all the same - what a story!
