Hard to say. I like the top of the Empire State Building. Funny, I thought we had another topic about this.

I thought that the other thread was best place to watch the snow fall: which is totally different. Unless there was another post before my time . . . .

South Street Seaport boardwalk, minus the cold and the dumb techno music they sometimes play.

RIP Rainbow Room - I was so disappointed when it closes down! I also love the view from Beekman Towers.

Not sure, JenPac. I just remember talking about places in NYC. Hey, what of it. Thanks for bringing it up. Interesting to know where the best places are to view the city.

@Uraniumfish: I was at the South Street Seaport with my girlfriend last fall, just before it got cold, and we were on the boardwalk. The problem we faced was too many people. We couldn't enjoy ourselves too much because people kept bumping into us or taking up space so we couldn't see anything. So we went into the mall and then went home.

I've been to a restaurant somewhere in midtown with great views, but I don't know if that was the one...
